MAN’S USE of TECHNOLOGY in the PROCREATION PROCESS

I define technology as, “Man using his superior intellect to develop mechanisms to use God created resources to develop and accomplish the desires and the needs of man’s heart. Man’s use of technology started with Cain when he Cain built a city and named it after his son Enoch. (Genesis 4:17b) AMP I am sure Cain knew how to use poles and animal skins or large tree branches to make a shelter of some kind, but for him “to build a city” is using his intellect way beyond building a shelter. Regardless as to how primitive the infrastructure was for water, waste disposal, etc., the intellect that produced technology that was needed to coordinate the use large amounts of resources was way beyond what it took to build one shelter!
Think of the technology that had to be used when man started to build a city with a tower that would reach into the heavens in Genesis 11:1-9. If God would have allowed them to complete their plans, they would have brought forth a one world government and a one world religion. But this was NOT God’s timetable for this to happen, so they {us – God the Son and God the Holy Spirit} scattered the people over the face of the earth and confused their language.
But recently man using technology has produced computer software that is bilingual – it can translate your language to another and they will answer using their language which is then translated back to your original language. Thus there are NO confused languages!!! And as we know from Revelation chapter 13, we are now on God’s timetable for a one world government with it one world religion. So man’s use of technology is IMPORTANT in bringing to fruition God’s timetable at this time and place in history.
But we all know that technology has a down side. Many things that man has used his intellect to innovate can cause great sins. One of these sins is man using technology in the process of procreation which enables him to play God! How so? This book reveals God’s intricacy and involvement in the natural process of procreation. Man’s use of technology enables him to manipulate the God created and provided resources of predestined human eggs and sperm to produce viable embryos at any time and place in history to any parent(s) man desires. This happens with man’s involvement and use of technology to circumvent some areas of the natural process of procreation by using artificial insemination (AI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
In the 1950’s, AI of humans was introduced as a tool to help childless parents to have children. At the beginning of using AI, the process procured fresh sperm from the husband and immediately it was used to inseminate the wife. Later on in the development of AI, man selected sperm donors were used to inseminate the wife or another woman. Or AI technicians can take the procured fresh sperm of the husband or donor and freeze it until a future time determined by man for the impregnation of the wife’s egg in her uterus or another woman’s egg in her uterus. This freezing and storing of this God given resource for use at a future time and place in history is solely determined by man for the fertilization of any woman’s egg. Even IF a human offspring is produced through AI, is the timing in God’s Book of Life thrown off? Scientists have found they can use electric shock to produce a fertilized egg. Where is God the Holy Spirit in this process?
But man using AI technology whether to inseminate the wife or another woman or to freeze sperm for future use whether from the husband or another male donor is the denying and thwarting God the Holy Spirit’s impeccable timing, planning and predestined work in the process of procreation. If God the Holy Spirit is not present at the conception of a human offspring, how does He give to this offspring a spirit that is able to have fellowship with Him? (1) Is this blasphemy of God the Holy Spirit on man’s part by interfering with God’s plans in time, place, and history? I believe this interference is a huge sin – a sin that must be recognized, repented of, and dealt with! (2)
(1) As you know not what is the way of the wind, or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God, Who does all. (Ecclesiastes 11:5) AMP
(2) But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.” (Mark 3:29) NIV
(2a) If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. (1 John 5:16) NKJV
(2b) **** Read PART 3 of this book – Christ’s Bride Church’s Correct Stand on Birth Control for more insights on this teaching.
As man continued to expand his use of technology, he now brought forth the process of in vitro fertilization (IVF) which produced the first live IVF human baby in 1978. IVF involves a human technician individually selecting from a man’s ejaculate one fresh human sperm and one freshly harvested human egg from a woman and mechanically joining them together in a Petrie dish to create a living and viable embryo to be implanted in any woman or they can freeze the embryo to implant in any woman’s uterus whenever the technician and involved parties desire at any time and place in history. Or the technician can freeze both the sperm and eggs, then at a man determined time and place in history thaw them out and join them together to create a living and viable embryo to be implanted in any woman as the technician and involved parties desire.
IVF technicians are also now able to determine the sex of an embryo which allows the parents of the child to pick the sex of their child bringing forth the ultimate feat that technology can do at this time and place in history – “designer babies.”
Again, we have a human technician using technology to select a human sperm and a human egg and whether to use them fresh or frozen to create a living embryo to place in any woman at any time and place in history. This is indeed denying and thwarting God the Holy Spirit’s impeccable timing, planning, and predestined work in the process of procreation as found in God’s Book of Life. Again, if God the Holy Spirit is not present at the conception of a human offspring, how does He give to this offspring a spirit that is able to communicate with Him? Is this blasphemy of God the Holy Spirit – the denying and thwarting His work? I STRONGLY BELIEVE SO!!! I know this will produce much discussion which is GOOD! (3)
(3) “‘But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the Lord, and that person must be cut off from his people. Because he has despised the Lord’s word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.'” (Numbers 15:30-31) NIV
There are several major problems with man and his use of technology to interfere in the impeccable timing of God the Holy Spirit in the natural process of procreation:
Man choosing and mating the sperm and the egg to create a living embryo rather
than God the Holy Spirit’s plan according to God’s Book of Life.
Man’s choosing the time and place in history of conception rather than God the
Holy Spirit using the plans according to God’s Book of Life.
Man’s choosing any man or woman to be the father or mother of the artificially conceived offspring rather than God’s plan according to His Book of Life.
Man’s choosing the sex of the conceived offspring rather than God’s plan according to His Book of Life.
God the Holy Spirit is present at these conceptions as the breath of life, but does He put one’s spirit into their embryo? If not, how does the embryo have a spirit that is able to commune with God the Holy Spirit?
God states, “”For I am the Lord, I do not change; ……” (Malachi 3:6) NKJV What makes you think that God will relinquish His Providence over the miraculous process of procreation whether it is humans or all other forms of life?
A few years ago our solar water heating system needed some maintenance and as the technician was working on it, we began sharing and found that we both were Christians. He shared that he was having a recurring dream that was literally frightening him. In his dream, he found himself included in a large crowd of people, and as he looked at them and into their faces and eyes, they were all dark and empty. At the time, I did not know what that meant but now I am wondering if it could be that they did not have any God given spirits for their souls within them? (4)
(4) Your eyes light up your inward being. A pure eye lets sunshine into your soul. A lustful eye shuts out the light and plunges you into darkness. So watch out that the sunshine isn’t blotted out. If you are filled with light within, with no dark corners, then your face will be radiant too, as though a floodlight is beamed upon you.” (Luke 11:34-36) TLB
The Bible declares that it is God Who opens and closes wombs for the process of procreation to take place. Remember what He revealed to Eve? “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;” (Genesis 3:16a) NKJV Let’s watch God apply His Sovereignty and Providence to other women of the Bible. “But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, but the Lord had closed her womb. Her rival {Peninnah}, however, would provoke her bitterly to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb. (1 Sam 1:5-6) NASU And [Hannah] was in distress of soul, praying to the Lord and weeping bitterly (for it was He Who had closed her womb). (1 Samuel 1:10) AMP
“Then they arose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned again to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah had relations with Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. It came about in due time, after Hannah had conceived, that she gave birth to a son; and she named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked him of the Lord.” (1 Sam 1:19-20) NASU
How many testimonies have you given or heard about the impeccable timing of God in His intricate involvement in His creation and in your life? This same impeccable timing is involved in each and every natural act of procreation throughout all generations and genealogies! This is proved by the myriad of genealogies found in the Old Testament and culminating in the genealogy of Jesus Christ as found in Matthew chapter one and Luke chapter three. God is also as intricately involved in your genealogy from Eve to the present!!! (5)
(5) Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, (Isaiah 46:10) AMP
(5a) Everything Has Its Time To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1) NKJV
(5b) I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.” (Ecclesiastes 3:17) NKJV
(5c) Yes, there is a time and a way for everything, though man’s trouble lies heavy upon him; for how can he avoid what he doesn’t know is going to happen? (Ecclesiastes 8:6-7) TLB
(5d) And He {God} made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes). (Acts 17:26) AMP
The Bible declares that many children are a gift from God. (6)
(6) Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate. (Ps 127:3-5) NASU
Each naturally conceived person has their name written in God’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. (7) Man’s intervention in the natural procreation process using all forms of birth control including abortion and the inclusion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle all deny and thwart God the Holy Spirit’s work in the natural process of procreation. Because man thwarts the procreation of predestined offspring, God the Holy Spirit’s predestined work of convicting these thwarted offspring of sin, righteous, and judgment and their possibility of becoming Born Again as an adopted child of God through their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior is denied and thwarted also. (8) Again, this is blasphemy of God the Holy Spirit – an unpardonable sin! (9)
(7) Yet now, if You will forgive their sin — but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. (Exodus 32:32-33) NKJV
(7a) Even as [in His love] He {God} chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4) AMP
(8) As you know not what is the way of the wind, or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God, Who does all. (Ecclesiastes 11:5) AMP
(8a) And when He {God the Holy Spirit} has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (John 16:8-11) NKJV
(8b) Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:3-8) NKJV
(9) If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. (1 John 5:16) NKJV
(9a) The Unpardonable Sin. (Matthew 12:31, 32; Luke 12:10) “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes {denies and thwarts the work} against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” — (Mark 3:28-29) NKJV
You must also understand that it is guesstimated that 100 billion people have lived on the earth. God the Holy Spirit was involved in the natural conception of each of these offspring. It is guesstimated there are some 7 billion people living on the earth at this present time, and God the Holy Spirit has His finger on the pulse of each and every one of His offspring at any and all times. (10)
(10) For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14) NASU
How do we know this to be true? Let’s look at the most unrecognized and amazing intricacy and mind boggling participation that God does with all of His human creation throughout time, place, and history. There is no more BORING reading in the entire Bible than what is contained in all of the genealogies that we read about in the Old Testament. Who cares about so and so begat so and so and so and so begat so and so and so and so begat so and so, etc. But the reality is that in each of the sexual unions involved in these genealogies, the hand of God the Holy Spirit was in their midst putting the right sperm with the right egg to produce the right human offspring necessary at the right time and place in history to produce the genealogy of our Savior, Jesus Christ. All of the sperm and eggs involved in this genealogical history was foreknown and predestined by God and contained in His Book of Life from before time began and brought to fruition at just the right time and place in history some 2,000 plus years ago. God’s hand was on YOUR genealogy also!
In the Books of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament we have the genealogy of Jesus Christ which gives the overall history that was involved with God’s people from Adam to Joseph/Mary to bring Jesus Christ into the right time and place in history. (11)
(11) MATTHEW The Genealogy of Jesus Christ. (Ruth 4:18-22; 1 Chronicles 2:1-5; Luke 3:23-38) The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: (Matthew 1:1) NKJV
(11a) And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. (Matthew 1:16) NKJV
(11b) The Genealogy of Jesus Christ (Genesis 5; 11:10-26; Ruth 4:18-22; 1 Chronicles 1:1-4, 24-27, 34; 2:1-15; Matthew 1:2-16) Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli, (Luke 3:23) NKJV
As we have read, the Scriptures share with us God the Holy Spirit’s involvement in the human process of procreation of all humans. Actually, the Holy Spirit is involved in the procreation process of all the different species of living things keeping their uniqueness and individuality. (12)
(12) Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. (Genesis 1:11-13) NKJV
(12a) Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our {spiritual} image, according to Our {spiritual} likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:20-28) NKJV
(12b) Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. (Acts 17:25) NKJV
(12c) **** Read Job chapter 39 for more on God’s involvement with the animals.
As a side note, we all know that in the physical realm plants and animals have variations of pedigrees – genealogies – but you will notice as you read the Bible, not one genealogy is mentioned for plants nor animals. This should reveal to you that it is man who is important to God. While God declared all of creation as very good in Genesis 1:31, sin is what separated man from God which brought physical death to man and all of creation. This dying and decaying creation awaits for the adopted sons and daughters of God to be revealed and reinstated. (13)
(13) [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].
For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him (God) Who so subjected it — [yet] with the hope [Ecclesiastes 1:2.] That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.
We know that the whole creation [of irrational creatures] has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now. [Jeremiah 12:4, 11.] (Romans 8:18-22) AMP
When God the Holy Spirit formed your spirit in you at your conception i.e. made you in His image, He was placing into your physical body your spirit which is the spiritual component that enables Him to keep tabs on you every nanosecond in your life. Humans can only pass to their offspring what is physically transferable between humans – DNA, color of eyes, hair, skin, etc. God the Holy Spirit has to be present at conception for Him to impute to each individual their spirit as part of their total makeup. (14) All other living creatures have a spirit of instinct, which is devoid of human knowledge and wisdom. (15) Only man is created in the spiritual image and spiritual likeness of God (16) thus having a spirit able to identify with God the Holy Spirit during his/her life and then returns to God at death for judgment. (17) Because the Holy Spirit is God, (18) He is able to have direct communion and intervention with man’s spirit and life thus allowing Him to use situations, circumstances, events, trials, and tribulations in guiding your life towards Him, and He defines the parameters for allowing Satan to tempt you to allow you your free will. God the Holy Spirit in His Sovereignty has complete 24/7 access to your life whether you think so, or whether you want it, or whether you like it or not! (19)
(14) As you know not what is the way of the wind, or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God, Who does all. (Ecclesiastes 11:5) AMP
(14a) And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so let us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:49) AMP
(15) “The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork’s? Because God deprived her of wisdom, And did not endow her with understanding. (Job 39:13, 17) NKJV
(15a) Who {God} teaches us {man} more than the beasts of the earth, And makes us wiser than the birds of heaven?’ (Job 35:11) NKJV
(16) So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27) NKJV
(17) {Upon one’s death} Then shall the dust [out of which God made man’s body] return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) AMP
(17a) For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing]. (2 Corinthians 5:10) AMP
(18) But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” (Acts 5:3-4)
(19) “Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:23-24) NKJV
(19a) For [God’s] eyes are upon the ways of a man, and He sees all his steps. [Ps 34:15; Prov 5:21; Jer 16:17.] (Job 34:21) AMP
(19b) And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and minds and understands all the wanderings of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] you will find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever! (1 Chronicles 28:9) AMP
(19c) O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head.
This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there. If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me. If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you. (Psalms 139:1-12) TLB
