The MYSTERY of HAVING the SOUND MIND of CHRIST REVEALED

INTRODUCTION

1 Corinthians 2:16 But, strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ. TLB

I believe the most significant difference between man and all the rest of the living physical creatures in creation is our mind and the intellect that can be obtained through its proper training and correct usage. I am not talking about our brain which sets in the cranial cavity of our skull and contains our mind. I will share with you my over simplified example for our brain and mind. I compare our brain to the preprogramed contents of a hard drive of a computer and our mind to the software that must be used to make these preprogramed contents of the hard drive perform the gist/essence of those contents. Therefore, each individual life reflects how our mind is preprogramed.

I believe the mind that each one of us was born with has been preprogramed and does not in its natural state reflect the God Who created man and His intentions for man to live a Godly life. That is what this study is about – the renewing and transforming of one’s mind to reflect our worship and service to Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior, Lord God, and Master thus giving God His deserved praise, honor, and glory with your life.
Romans 3:23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. AMP
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. AMP
Philippians 2:10-11 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. AMP

You must use new spiritual software to reprogram and renew your mind to accomplish God’s foreknown and predestined plans for your life. This new spiritual software ONLY includes the Christian Bible. You MUST then pray to God for His Spirit to give you the “sound mind of Christ” to open up Its plans, truths, promises, and principles in your life!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. AMP
Titus 1:2 [Resting] in the hope of eternal life, [life] which the ever truthful God Who cannot deceive promised before the world or the ages of time began. AMP
John 17:17 Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth. AMP
Psalms 12:6 The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over. AMP
2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, {some 37,000 are found in the Bible} they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God. AMP
Hebrews 5:12-14 For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God’s Word. You have come to need milk, not solid food. 13 For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]!
14 But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law. AMP

PART I – The SECULAR MINDSET that ALL HUMANS ARE BORN WITH.

There are huge amounts of research and data from studies and tests performed on the human brain and mind trying to determine how one’s mind initially operates in the secular and physical realm. I pray this study will show you how to change your preprogramed nonspiritual worldly kingdom mindset to a spiritual supernatural mindset that truly worships and serves the true living and loving God in the Kingdom of God here on earth. In order for our new spiritual software to work, we MUST be reading God’s Word daily asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand It and applying It to our daily lives.

“TODAY,” many people as they journey through life seek to develop and thrive on something called “common sense” or “rational thinking” which I define as, “obtaining practical worldly knowledge to enable them to make physical judgments which are “independent” {not attached to} and lacking of “specialized and spiritual knowledge” which would be useful for determining their perception {their particular way of thinking} on making good judgments on what is happening around them.” In other words, the amount of “common sense/ rational thinking” that one has is NOT tied to the amount of formal education or specialized training that a person has attained. This enables almost ALL rank in file or “common people” to think they are able to rationalize {make sense} in their individual minds of what is happening in their physical life as they strive to have the BEST they can have in their physical world around them. Plainly stated, “The mental perception of the “common man” to really know what is going on in their world is less than optimal resulting in them becoming extremely opinionated in their thinking because THEY only know what THEY know” i.e. they are NOT able to see the “WHOLE/BIG PICTURE!” ONLY God has the mindset to be able to see the WHOLE/BIG PICTURE from its beginning to its end, and Christ’s spiritual mindset is what the Christian must have for us to be prepared for the end of the age culminated by Christ’s Second Coming!
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, AMP
Acts 15:18 Says the Lord, Who has been making these things known from the beginning of the world.  [Isa 45:21; Jer 12:15; Amos 9:11, 12.] AMP
1 Thessalonians 4:16, 18 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons {at His second Coming}, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. 18 Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words. AMP

In fact, I have been told, “You are so spiritually minded that you are no earthy good.” I took this as a compliment even though it was not meant that way!

I will share just a “few” examples of some supposedly simple “common sense/ rational thinking”:
Don’t touch a hot stove!
Don’t befriend strangers when you are alone!
Look BOTH ways before crossing a street!
Don’t drive or physically propel any type of vehicle while intoxicated!
Don’t ride with intoxicated {alcohol or drugged} drivers!

I will share a few seemingly more complicated “common sense/rational thinking” which actually have supporting Scriptures that gives us God’s guidance on dealing with the consequences of these sins:
Don’t do bad things/sin – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers {sinners} will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, 10 Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. AMP
Don’t get drunk – Romans 13:13-14 Let us live and conduct ourselves honorably and becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in reveling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). AMP

Don’t worship idols – Exodus 20:23 Remember, you must not make or worship idols made of silver or gold or of anything else! TLB
Habakkuk 2:18-20 What profit is the graven image when its maker has formed it? It is only a molten image and a teacher of lies. For the maker trusts in his own creations [as his gods] when he makes dumb idols. 19 Woe to him who says to the wooden image, Awake! and to the dumb stone, Arise, teach! [Yet, it cannot, for] behold, it is laid over with gold and silver and there is no breath at all inside it! 20 But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth hush and keep silence before Him.  [Zeph 1:7; Zech 2:13.] AMP
Don’t gossip – Romans 1:28-32 And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome, 29 Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers, 30 Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, [and] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. 31 [They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless. 32 Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them. AMP
Don’t be a glutton – Proverbs 28:7 Whoever keeps the law [of God and man] is a wise son, but he who is a companion of gluttons and the carousing, self-indulgent, and extravagant shames his father. AMP
Don’t lie – Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are extremely disgusting and hateful to the Lord, but they who deal faithfully are His delight.  [Prov 6:17; 11:20; Rev 22:15.] AMP
Be careful in choosing your friends – 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. AMP
Be a good parent – Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it.  [Eph 6:4; 2 Tim 3:15.] AMP

If the truth be known, God is a “vital necessity” of every nanosecond in your life whether you think so or not! Thus everything that you do, God is aware of your heart, thoughts, and actions BEFORE they happen!
Jeremiah 29:13 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.  [Deut 4:29-30.] AMP
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?  [Matt 13:15-17; Mark 7:21-23; Eph 4:20-24.] 10 I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. AMP
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere {Events happen in the spiritual realm BEFORE they are perceived here on earth.}. AMP

PART II – The NECESSITY {SOMETHING A CHRISTIAN CANNOT DO WITHOUT!} of HAVING the SPIRITUALLY SOUND MIND of JESUS CHRIST.

This is what makes the phenomenon of the human mind very interesting! Interesting in that EVERYONE thinks they know so MUCH about what is happening in the world that it is extremely difficult to “teach” anyone about the spiritual supernatural God and His spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God and His spiritual supernatural Truth! “Common sense/rational thinking” i.e. having the world’s knowledge and wisdom is NOT the same as having and using the spiritually “sound mind of Christ” and using His Word to guide and direct the thoughts and actions for your life. God the Holy Spirit will help you to use the spiritually “sound mind of Christ” to know and understand what God is doing in His Kingdom and your part in It. He will also help you understand what is taking place in the world and the workings of the world and the extent of your participation in it. The following Scripture supports the principle for the old saying, “While we Christians live in the world, we are NOT to be part of it!”
1 John 2:15-17 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things] — these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. 17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. AMP

Our Brother Paul has two Scripture texts that illustrate how God wants Christ’s “Born Again” Saints to use their mindset to live in the world as Christians. The Scripture that is NOT bolded in the first text pertains to the mindset of unsaved sinners and their actions towards God. The bolded, underlined, and italicized Scripture pertains to the mindset of “Adopted Children” of Jesus Christ and their eternal destiny.
Romans 8:5-17 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. {Christ’s righteousness – Philippians 3:9} 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation — but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. NIV

Verse 17 in the above Scripture shares with us our eternal destiny through our true faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, Lord God, and Master. Christ inherited His creation BEFORE He created it. It was created BY Him and FOR Him to accomplish God the Father’s foreknown and predestined plans for created man. When your time comes and if you continue to have a true faith in Jesus Christ, you will be co-heirs with Christ to ALL of creation BUT you/we will have to suffer in this life and world in order to share in His spiritual glory and inheritance.
Hebrews 1:2 [But] in the last of these days He {God the Father} has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son {God the Son}, Whom He appointed {#1} Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He {#2} created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He {God the Son} made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order {according to God the Father’s foreknown and predestined plans}]. AMP
Colossians 1:16 For it was in {by} Him {God the Son} that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. AMP

In the following Scripture text, our Brother Paul continues to put our spiritual supernatural mindset into proper perspective, and in verse 16 he reveals God’s imputed gift of the “mind of Christ” for us to be able to discern from God’s Word/ Bible what He wants us to be doing in our lives, in the world, and in His spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God/Heaven – Christ’s Bride Church.
1 Corinthians 2:1-16 AS FOR myself, brethren, when I came to you, I did not come proclaiming to you the testimony and evidence or mystery and secret of God [concerning what He has done through Christ for the salvation of men] in lofty words of eloquence or human philosophy and wisdom; 2 For I resolved to know nothing (to be acquainted with nothing, to make a display of the knowledge of nothing, and to be conscious of nothing) among you except Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and Him crucified.
3 And I was in (passed into a state of) weakness and fear (dread) and great trembling [after I had come] among you. 4 And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them], 5 So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy {thinking}), but in the power of God.
6 Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine {Gospel} plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away. 7 But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God — [that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence {through the fulfilling of the Gospel Message}]. 8 None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].  [Isa 64:4; 65:17.] 10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].
11 For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the {spiritual} gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.  13 And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit]. 14 But the natural, nonspiritual man {sinner} does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated {They – the natural nonspiritual men/sinners – are dull of mind! They do NOT understand God, the wisdom of God, nor the things of God!}.
15 But the spiritual {Born Again} man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one {natural nonspiritual man/sinner} can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him {the spiritual man/saved man}]. 16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we {the spiritual man/saved man} have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.[Isa 40:13.] AMP

In the above text, can you discern the mindset of the natural, nonspiritual sinner as compared to the mindset of the spiritual adopted child of God who is able to examine, investigate, inquire into, questions, and discerns ALL things? Which mindset would you rather have? God the Holy Spirit will help you to have the “sound mind of Christ” that will help you to not only better understand the workings of the spiritual realm but also the workings of the physical realm!

PART III – PART of the SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMTION WHEN A SINNER IS BORN AGAIN.

Part of the spiritual transformation that happens when a sinner is “Born Again,” {becomes an adopted child of God} is they receive a “new heart” of flesh which can serve and love others and a “new spirit” that is now able to directly connect up to God the Holy Spirit for His instruction as Paul shared in the above text.
Ezekiel 11:19-20 And I {God} will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony [unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God], [Ezek 18:31; 36:26; 2 Cor 3:3.] 20 {A “new spirit” that connects them to My Spirit – Ezekiel 36:27} That they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. {John 14:23} And they shall be My people, and I will be their God. AMP
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall heed My ordinances and do them. AMP

Nowhere in Scripture does God give us a “new mind.” Therefore, in order for the Saint to effectively read, understand and put into action Christ’s commands as found in His Word, it is imperative/an absolutely necessity to have the “sound mind” of Jesus Christ! How does this happen? ONLY by one transforming and renewing their mindset from the physical kingdom of the world to the spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God. Scripture is very implicit/direct in how we do this!!!
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Colossians 3:1-2 IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  [Ps 110:1.] 2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. AMP

So, how do you start in transforming – surrendering and yielding your heart and mind from the physical kingdom of the world to the spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God? How about asking God in prayer because He is the “source” of ALL holy and righteous things.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 Thus says the Lord Who made [the earth], the Lord Who formed it to establish it — the Lord is His name: 3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand). AMP

How will God help you to renew your mind so that YOU can have the same mental capacity that God the Holy Spirit gave to Jesus Christ?
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and {given us} of a sound mind. NKJV
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.  [Isa 40:13.] AMP
Isaiah 11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him {Jesus Christ} — the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord —  AMP
Colossians 2:2-3 [For my concern is] that their hearts may be braced (comforted, cheered, and encouraged) as they are knit together in love, that they may come to have all the abounding wealth and blessings of assured conviction of understanding, and that they may become progressively more intimately acquainted with and may know more definitely and accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God, [which is] Christ (the Anointed One). 3 In Him all the treasures of [divine] wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and [all the riches of spiritual] knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden. AMP

The ONLY way that I know how to unlock and achieve this knowledge and wisdom of God is by constantly reading and studying a “good” translation” of the Bible. I say “good” meaning that it is a translation and NOT a paraphrased version. The paraphrased versions are all right to help you with a general understanding of what God’s Word is saying, BUT they are NOT a direct translation from the original languages. Paraphrased versions just cannot reveal all of the “nuggets and gems” found in the Bible as well as a good translation. There is NO one translation that is complete in and of itself thus, I believe that all Christians who are sincerely studying the Bible should be using at least 3-4 different “good” translations which can also include a paraphrased version. Reputable translations of the Bible include but are not limited to – NKJV, NASB, AMP, NIV, and KJV only IF you can read and understand it. Christians MUST become apologists – people who can defend their faith in Jesus Christ as God/Man and the truth and validity of the Bible.
2 Timothy 2:15-16 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. 16 But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. AMP
2 Timothy 4:2-5 Herald {proclaim} and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, 4 And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions. 5 As for you, be calm and cool and steady, accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fully perform all the duties of your ministry. CONCLUSION

As a Christian, the mindset and direction of your life MUST change 180 degrees from the mindset and direction that you lived as a sinner! And the ONLY way that this is done is by the transforming and renewing of your mind. Your mind is now set on the things above in the spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God which transpires here on earth in Christ’s Bride Church.
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. AMP

As a Christian, you cannot attempt to walk with one foot in the kingdom of the world and the other in the Kingdom of God! Scripture shares this concept with us in the Church of Laodicea in the Book of Revelation and gives us God’s instructions to overcome the world and the things of the world – So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].
Revelation 3:14-22 And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation:  [Isa 55:4; Prov 8:22.] 15 I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth! 17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.  [Hos 12:8.] 18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see. 19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].  [Prov 3:12.]

JESUS CHRIST’S OPEN INVITATION to SALVATION

As we continue with Revelation Chapter 3, we have Christ’s open invitation to start a relationship with Him as your personal Savior. Or maybe you have fallen away from Him and would like to renew your relationship with Him not only as your personal Savior but now as your Lord God and Master. NOW IS THE TIME TO REPENT AND GET RIGHT WITH GOD THROUGH A TRUE FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!!!
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. 21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne. 22 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). AMP

To accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is fulfilled through a simple prayer:  “Dear Heavenly Father. I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins and may Your Holy Spirit impute to me the Fruit of the Spirit, the Gifts of the Spirit, and the sound mind of Christ so I may live a life that reflects Jesus Christ as my Savior, Lord God, and Master. In Jesus’ Name I pray. AMEN!
IF you are not going to church, IF you are not reading your Bible, IF you are not praying to God for the things of your life, IF you have lost faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, IF you have fallen back into the world and the things of the world and want and need to repent, just pray the following:
Dear Heavenly Father: Please forgive me of my sins of loving and working in the world. I surrender my heart, mind, and soul to You completely and may your Holy Spirit have free and total access to my life to mold me as He deems necessary. Help me daily to be on the right lines of my page in Your Book of Life bringing to fruition Your foreknown and predestined plans for my life in the spiritual supernatural Kingdom of God and in Christ’s Bride Church. Help me to use my testimony to bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, Lord God, and Master of their lives. In Jesus’ Name I pray. AMEN!

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!!!

My Sisters and Brothers, NOW is the time to use your spiritually sound mind of Christ to work out your salvation with fear and trembling!
Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). 13 [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
