Which Kingdom Has Precedence in Your Life?

INTRODUCTION – Seeking God’s Kingdom.

As a TRUE Christian, one’s mindset and lifestyle can be viewed as an extremely volatile situation which can be approached from several directions depending on one’s beliefs and faith in God and His Word! To me, it all depends on our adjusting and having the correct mindset which I will share later. The Bible is quite clear on a Christian’s focus on this subject, and this is where I am coming from:

Matthew 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides {God promises that He will provide for your needs for your life as they occur.}. AMP

In my book number 13 on my website, I share that the Kingdom of God is a real physical place in the third heaven containing all of the amenities for God’s residence for living, but Scripture also discloses that it is a “spiritual entity that lives in every true Christian believer and surrounds Christ’s Bride Church.”

Luke 17:20-21 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He {Jesus} replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, 21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in {Christian} hearts] and among you [surrounding you] {in Christ’s Bride Church}. AMP

CHAPTER 1 – Then Why This Study?

I truly believe that the world is entering the “end times” of its age and that God is ramping up the events of the world to see how we His redeemed Saints will react – are we focusing on saving the world and the things of the world or are we going to redouble our efforts to use our testimony to win lost sinners to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, Lord God, and Master!

I know that many so called “Christians” are contributing substantial sums of money and much physical effort and time to the various political parties so their political beliefs and lifestyle might be preserved, BUT does God’s Word even suggest that you do this?  

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.  [Ex 25:8; 29:45; Lev 26:12; Jer 31:1; Ezek 37:27.] 17 So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor,  [Isa 52:11.] 18 And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.  [Isa 43:6; Hos 1:10.]

Chapter 7:1 THEREFORE, SINCE these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God. AMP

CHAPTER 2 – Politics the Art of Compromise.

Politics is known as the “art of compromise.” And I will admit that on very rare occasions God will adjust His plans to ease the infliction on those He is disciplining, but that adjustment does NOT change the long term result! Have you ever considered what God really expects from us? Can you do this?

Deuteronomy 5:32 Therefore you people shall be watchful to do as the Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. AMP

We must remain steadfast in the focus of our living, we are NOT to compromise our faith nor our beliefs! I strongly believe we are NOT to get involved with the kingdoms of the world, their workings, and its god Satan!!! I know this seems to be an impossible undertaking because of the numerous ways that we are involved in the daily workings of the world – mortgage payments, insurance payments, car and other monthly payments, worldly jobs, secular public school agendas, taxes, the list goes on and on, BUT we as Christians MUST minimize our involvement with the worldly systems and replace it with God’s Kingdom teaching and His Kingdom living as much as possible!

Much more can be said about the kingdoms of the world versus the Kingdom of God, BUT IF your spiritual heart is NOT in tune with God, I do not believe that I can say much more to make a difference in your spiritual heart/thinking or way of living in the world. What we MUST realize is that there are TWO distinct kingdoms – one worldly kingdom overseen by the god of this world Satan, and the other is the eternal Kingdom of God. While they are separate kingdoms, we MUST know and understand they will be joined together during Christ’s millennial reign:

Revelation 11:15 The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom{/s of the world}, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!  [Ps 22:28; Dan 7:13, 14,27.] AMP

CHAPTER 3 – How You Can Have Godly Thinking.

I ask you to consider this: The worldly philosophy that I consider common sense thinking is NOT God’s way of thinking!!!

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). AMP

The Bible states that God’s thinking nor His ways of doing things are NOT our way of thinking nor our way of normally doing things:

Isaiah 55:8-9, 11-12 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. 11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 For you shall go out [from the spiritual exile caused by sin and evil into the homeland] with joy and be led forth [by your Leader, the Lord Himself, and His word] with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. AMP

BUT God has made plans to LEVEL the mind field that is between Him and us:

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV

1 Corinthians 2:16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. NKJV

BUT I have prayed for the sound mind of Christ for MANY years and I believe that God has honored my requests many many times by revealing many of the hidden mysteries/secrets of the Bible!!! SUMMARY – It Is YOUR Choice!

God uniquely created man so we can have an intellect, a seemingly free will over the matters of our lives, and have a seemingly freedom of choice over these matters. We MUST understand that the “god of this world and his systems” are right in our faces, at the tips of our fingers, but as I stated at the beginning of this study, God is desiring that we seek Him and His Kingdom over them! We know that in the world, IF we keep doing the SAME thing over and over AND expecting change, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN! God and His Word are the ONLY way to go! ONE LAST THOUGHT. IT IS YOUR FUTURE:

1 John 2:15-17 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him {Please think about this – this verse can be translated in two ways 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. KJV Quite a difference!}. 16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things] — these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. 17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. AMP
